Completed in 1995 this gorgeous home was designed and built by the developer who built the world renowned Hyatt Regency Resort (now the Westin) on St. John and the Stouffer’s Virgin Grand on St. Thomas. The home incorporates many of the appealing features of the luxury hotels that are their pedigree, such as lush landscaping, beautifully coordinated designer interiors, and zoned air conditioning, but it also includes features that no luxury hotel in the Caribbean can offer, such as 3,500 square feet of living area, 4 bedrooms with private baths, two completely equipped kitchens, a formal dining room, and undisturbed privacy. LIVING ROOM AND POOL:
A cathedral ceiling with skylights and 20’ wide glass doors create a well lit and cheerful interior. The living room is enriched by plush upholstered furniture, and fully carpeted.. A powerful zoned air conditioning system ensures cool comfort, or if you prefer. open the screened doors and enjoy the soothing trade winds. The entertainment center includes a 30" cable color TV/DVD and a stereo with cassette/CD player, or step outside and enjoy the heavenly Caribbean sunshine and a 23’ pool with granite waterfall and Italian marble deck

 

KITCHEN/DINING:
 The modern kitchen is completely equipped and includes an electric stove and oven, microwave. refrig./freezer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, blender, coffee maker and all the necessary cookware and dinnerware. Marble floors and washed oak cabinets are handsomely accented by teal Corian style countertops, while a counter/bar seats four on bar stools. A washer/dryer and cordless phone is included. The kitchen opens to an outdoor covered dining patio with gas barbeque grill and table for six. If you prefer to dine inside, the formal dining room seats 6-8 in a charming setting.

 
BEDROOMS:
The master bedroom with king size bed and individually zoned a/c has its own cable TV/VCR stereo/cassette/CD system, a bar/refrigerator, private safe and a romantic private balcony with a whirlpool spa that is perfect for sunset or stargazing. The second bedroom has a king size bed with its own cable TV/VCR, a bar/refrigerator and zoned a/c. The third bedroom has two full size beds with its own cable TV/VCR and zoned a/c. Each of the guest rooms have a private entrance and a private Italian marble bath with shower. The Sunset Vista fourth bedroom is equipped with a king bed. sitting room, full kitchen, Italian marble bath, zoned a/c and a separate entrance.

Sunset Vista is on the choicest lot within a privately owned 72 acre parcel on Gifft Hill, St. John. The home was carefully sited to provide truly spectacular day, evening and sunset views, along with tranquility and exceptional privacy. In keeping with St. John’s unique natural beauty, a profusion of tropical landscaping surrounds the house and provides a lovely display of lush green foliage and colorful flowers.
