2007 Banner Year
2007 was a banner year for The Land Trust. Not only did we double the number of acres we protect statewide, we almost doubled the total properties protected, welcomed new staff and expanded our service area.

Scenic Valley Near Brentwood Off Limits
The decrease in value is her own fault. Mary Ann Sugg's grandfather bought a couple of hundred acres in the area around 1900, and today, the land looks pretty much the same. There are no buildings on it, just pasture and woods covering the scenic hills. Near the Brentwood city limits, it's an ideal spot for a development.

More than 1,600 land trusts across America have successfully protected 11.9 million acres of open space, farms, woodlands, scenic corridors, vistas and historic places. We must now focus our attention here. The Land Trust for Tennessee is working with communities and individuals to identify our natural and historic assets and protect important lands as well as sites before they disappear forever. If you believe the beauty and character of Tennessee is worth preserving, we need your help!
